The first step to any innovation is to solve real-world problems centered around your customers, patients, students, etc. Spend time with your target audience and see the world through their lens.
Lead by Example
Once you have an idea on how to solve the problem, create a prototype of the solution for other people to see. Whether it's a product or through actions, you first have to do it yourself.
Collaborate
Involve other people in creating and perfecting the prototype. The best people to help architect a solution are the people that are experiencing the problem first hand.
Communicate
After you have perfected the solution, create a compelling story that can engage people and feel like they are a part of. Nobody transforms anything without an emotional connection to the story that they can see themselves in. So it is crucial to involve everybody in the story.
